Calcium gluconate is a calcium salt of gluconic acid, which is a white crystalline or granular powder with a melting point of 201 ºC. It is odorless and tasteless, soluble in cold water, and easily soluble in hot water. Calcium gluconate is a white crystalline or granular powder. Melting point 201 ºC (decomposition). Soluble in water (3g/100ml, 20 ºC), easily soluble in boiling water (20g/100ml), with an aqueous solution pH of about 6-7. Insoluble in ethanol and other organic solvents.
