| Genistein is a major active factor in soy isoflavones and is the most effective functional ingredient in soy isoflavones with a variety of physiological functions, and is described as an angiogenesis inhibitor and aphid estrogen. It is structurally similar to mammalian estrogen-estradiol and has an active group of estrogen-phenolic hydroxyl group, so genistein has various physiological activities such as estrogenic activity. Genistein is a naturally occurring compound that is most commonly found in various legumes (commonly soy).
