Introduction |
Sodium Alginate is a natural polysaccharide composed of α - L-guluronic acid and β - D-mannuronic acid molecules connected by a 1 → 4 bond. This ingredient has excellent biocompatibility, non toxicity, and biodegradability, and has therefore been widely used in the food industry, cell culture, and wound healing fields. |
Function |
Food industry: Sodium alginate is used as a thickener, stabilizer, and emulsifier in products such as ice cream, cheese, salad dressings, bread, and pastries to improve food stability and texture. Printing and dyeing industry: In the printing and dyeing industry, sodium alginate is used as an active dye colorant to improve the brightness and clarity of textile printing. Textile industry: Sodium alginate is used for yarn processing to improve yarn friction resistance, reduce breakage rate, and enhance weaving efficiency. Paper industry: Sodium alginate is used as a sizing and dispersing agent for paper to improve its smoothness and printing quality. |
Application |
Food industry: As a thickener, stabilizer, and emulsifier for products such as ice cream, cheese, salad dressing, bread, and pastries. Control ice crystal formation and improve the taste of ice cream. As an improver for noodle products, it enhances stretching ability and reduces breakage rate. In the field of medicine: As a dental impression material, it provides accurate tooth profile replication. Make hemostatic gauze, sponge, and other hemostatic agents. As a drug carrier, used to control drug release. Printing and dyeing industry: As an active dye colorant, it improves the brightness and clarity of textile printing. Textile industry: Used for yarn processing to improve friction resistance and reduce breakage rate. Paper industry: As a sizing and dispersing agent for paper, it improves the smoothness and printing quality of the paper. Water treatment: Used to remove heavy metals and other pollutants from water bodies. |
